Mining Accidents - JAMES William

Name: JAMES William
Age: 50
Date: 18/01/1864
Year: 1864
Occupation: Overman
Colliery: Tillery Level
Owner: John Pussell
County: Monmouth
Notes: Whilst oiling the sheaves of a surface machine his coat was caught in one of the revolutions and he was drawn in and killed on the spot. There was no occasion for him to meddle with it as his brother was the breaksman and was actually working the incline at the time.
